Farepak Customers Get Sainsburys Help
After the recent announcement that Farepak Hampers had gone bust (see farepak ceases trading here) the folks that lost all their money thought that Christmas would be without any cheer.
But today, Sainsburys have stepped in and pledged that Farepak customers can get 25% of the value of their farepak voucher savings in Sainsbury’s vouchers instead !
This is great news for everyone - OK, not 100% but at least there is something that can be used. The vouchers can be spent in their stores and they will despatch the vouchers at the beginning of December.
They are using the Farepak customer list from Farepak agents to get hold of the names, so if you are an agent and don’t hear anything soon we would suggest you get in touch with Sainsbury’s to ensure they have your customer list.
Sainsbury’s say they are doing this for Farepak customers because many would have used the vouchers to spend in their stores in any case.
Additionally, the whole Farepak collapse is being discussed in the House of Commons on Tuesday. When we hear more we will of course update the website.
If you are a Farepak customer we hope this piece of good news brings a little Christmas cheer for you.
